ARTISTS STATEMENT

I recently came to a realisation about the way I look: I will never be younger than I am today. In all probability I will never be firmer, slimmer, tighter or less wrinkled. While it might sound depressing, it was actually very liberating because no matter how I feel about my body now, I'll miss it when it's gone and changed, when my boobs start sagging and my skin loses its glow. The future me, the old and wrinkled me, will long for the body I have right now, with extra flab and all. I wanted to shoot myself for her, so that she would be able to hold onto the memories and she could look back and say "I was beautiful, and I made the most of it".
