ARTISTS STATEMENT

Mittlerweile fuehle ich mich ziemlich gut so wie ich bin, mit meinem Koerper und deshalb auch mit Nacktheit insgesamt . Manchmal bin ich noch ein bisschen zu kritisch was meinen Koerper angeht - ich denke sich wohl in seiner Haut zu fuehlen ist einfach ein langer Prozess. Aner je aelter ich werde, desto selbstsicherer fuehle ich mich insgesamt und ich merke immer mehr, dass ich nicht 'perfekt' sein muss, gemessen an irgendwelchen artifiziellen Standards, um mich schoen zu fuehlen und auch schoen zu sein. So macht es mir mittlerweile sogar richtig Spass mich oeffentlich nackt zu zeigen, zum Beispiel in Saunas, weil es sich so befreiend anfuehlt und jedesmal wieder ein kleiner Schritt ist, dahin mich genau so zu lieben und zu akzeptieren wie ich bin. At this point I feel pretty confident about myself and my body, and therefore about nudity as well. I'm still a little too critical with my body sometimes, though - I believe that feeling comfortable in your own skin is a process. I guess the older I get, the more confident I feel about who I am in general, and I realize that I don't have to be 'perfect' by some artificial standards in order to feel and be beautiful. Now I actually enjoy being naked in public, in saunas for example, because it feels so liberating and each time it's like a little step towards loving and accepting myself just the way I am.
