ARTISTS STATEMENT

Our society teaches us from a young age that nudity is a bad thing - something to be embarrassed or ashamed about - yet there is nothing more natural in the world. I have been ashamed of my body for a long time (never worn a bikini. I avoid beaches if I know other's judging eyes will be there). So my main reason for shooting myself is to let go of these unhappy notions that I have about my body and my sexuality. I think if more young people got to see nudity - that is a variety, not only models or people with "perfect" figures - there would be fewer people with body issues out there. That's why I like ISM, it shows that one can be sexy whatever the shape or size!
