ARTISTS STATEMENT

Nudity is a natural thing, and my most comfortable state, so public nudity isn't such a big deal to me. That doesn't mean I was originally completely comfortable with doing the ISM project. But any hesitations were easily overcome by realising that it doesn't really matter and that 'fear' of nudity is just a social construct that doesn't mean much to me. Being without clothes is quite liberating. The thing that was hardest about ISM was taking photos of myself, I love taking photos but not usually of myself.
