I shot myself because I wanted a chance to be the master of my own photos. I do quite a lot of modeling and am always a subject.
I am so comfortable in my own skin that I would rather shoot nude than clothed as I find it easier to express myself that way. I think you also get a proper feel for the body's shape and intricacies. I believe that there is no shame in being naked and that it is a state that everyone should learn to enjoy.
It is fun to be able to create something that is totally unique and that you plan and execute all by yourself. I also enjoy the 'secrecy' it brings to your day, "oh yeah I just shot myself." And that is something you can take around with you in your back pocket all day.
