ARTISTS STATEMENT

I worked in the sex industry for 14 years. I love this project because it illustrates the beauty of the people within the 'body suits'. I also feel there is an anomaly of sex > pain - and that sexual energy can be an antidote to that which seeks to drain us of 'life Energy'. Sometimes when we hear sexual congress we could be mistaken for believing that someone was being tortured or killed. So the Beautiful Agony and I Shot Myself shoots , flip that and reverse it, showing instead the Energy within us, the Love within us, the Courage, the Willingness to share that Love and our apparent vulnerability: and within that vulnerability lives our Strength: our ability to Love and even Transcend 'ourselves' and our immediate love for ourselves, our partners, family and friends: to love all and all that/which is of life.

Books I like: Red Hot Chilli Peppers and MM autobiography, anything by Stephen King, anything by Laurell K Hamilton, Morgan Llewlewynn. And just about everyone I have ever had the privilege to read! True!
Films I like: The Ninth Order, Candy, The Dark Knight, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Grizzly Man, Vampire anything, Otto, Harry Potter series, anything with Johnny Depp in it.
other random stuff: Hold hard, hold strong...it's all nearly over, we're on the home stretch and I can smell the Victory flowers from here!
