ARTISTS STATEMENT

You know the saying 'beauty is only skin deep but ugly cuts right to the bone'? Well, I happen to think that true beauty is in the bones...I have this fantasy that after I'm dead and my flesh has been consumed by whatever means, my bones might be kicking around in a box somewhere. And someone, a relative, someone I once loved and caressed, or, even a stranger, would be able to take me out of that box. Piece by lovely, bleached, white and curvaceous piece, they would carefully re-assemble me and admire me whilst sipping on French champagne...As we get older we all start to think more about preseravation. The preservation of what we once were, how we once looked, and how other people perceived us and will remember us. At this point in my life I am brave enough to explore how I am seen by others, though my own eyes.

currently living in: A ramshackle rental, surrounded by interesting things.
occupation: Hunter, gatherer, mother of invention.
age: 44.
height: About 15cm from where I would like to be.
weight: The same as I was in high school...it's just in different places now.
relationship status: I am an Earth sign and my first boyfriend, a Water sign. Together we made mud.
starsign: Non-practicing.
biggest passion in my life: The creation of something beautiful out of found objects and collected keepsakes. The thrill of successfully conveying this beauty to others.
I like to listen to: crashing ocean waves.
I like to watch: people and wonder what makes them tick.
I like to smell: gardenias.
I like to taste: victory (it's a little like Easter egg chocolate).
I like to feel: the sand between my toes and salt on my skin.

Most outrageous thing I have done: One time I had to jump out of a burning plane, whilst being chased by a 7ft giant trying to steal the Hope Diamond back from me so he could sell it to the Russians...oh, wait, I think that was a film.
Bands I like: Tex Perkins as Johnny Cash.
Books I like: Cloudstreet and anything else by Tim Winton.
Films I like: The Court Jester.
other random stuff: I love window dressing (sometimes undressing).
