ARTISTS STATEMENT

I can relate to the butterfly. I began my life very shy and insecure, hiding in the shadows. People all around me had no problem pointing out my flaws which contributed to my insecurities. Then one day much like the butterfly I emerged from my cocoon and found my beauty both inside and out and in turn found confidence. I do believe with all my heart that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, ethnicities and ages. Some may not agree with this but I also believe we are all entitled to our own opinions. This experience has been very freeing and liberating for me, I look at these pictures of myself and I can see the beautiful butterfly I've transformed into. Enjoy!
