ARTISTS STATEMENT

I was surprised by how quickly it felt normal to be messing around outdoors in the nude. One of the reasons I like ISM is that it restores normality to nakedness, while still celebrating it. I wanted this shoot to express both the desire for a male presence and the feeling of being happy and whole in oneself. (There is of course, no contradiction between the two.) For the aesthetic I was inspired by the look of some circa 1930s porn. I wanted to recreate its carefee feel.
