ARTISTS STATEMENT

I spent a very long time unhappy with my body, and to be fair - I did nothing about it for a long time, too. My skin, my weight and my level of fitness were all less than what they could have been. Almost two years ago I undertook a massive life change and now I can celebrate all that I am. There are still bits I'm not happy with some days - but I'm working on that - and I have heaps of other great attributes to show off. I'm a big supporter of nudity that celebrates the diversity of body shapes and breaks down the commercial construct of the 'perfect body'. ISM was one of the most mentally challenging tasks I have undertaken in a long time - I was surprised by that. In my first folio there are a few photos that I really love, and it's inspired me to create more... sometime in the future. I consider myself lucky to be surrounded by beautiful, inspirational and strong women.
