ARTISTS STATEMENT

Until not too long ago I'd been quite negative about my looks, always thinking that I was too ugly for photos. Then I fell in love and realised that I was being too hard on myself and life is not only about the way you look. Now I like my body just as it is, and I think others share my view, too ;) I think taking nude photos is like going to a nude beach; you either can't stand the thought of it or you enjoy it. After all there's nothing wrong with nature, and if we were born without clothes why can't we show our bodies, natural and beautiful as they are? Of course I don't agree to taking/using images in a way that's harmful or offensive to others, which is why I decided to 'shoot myself' in a safe and controlled manner. Unless I'm trying to keep warm I am mostly nude at home, and I feel free in my own skin. Without clothes we are all the same, there's no class, no rank, no way to tell if you're rich or poor, no barrier in between. Truly and totally equal. Isn't it a wonderful idea? When we take our clothes off we'll see that everyone's body is different, and that makes each one of us special, very special. That's always worth celebrating :)
