ARTISTS STATEMENT

I originally found out about ishotmyself through my sister and was immediately intrigued. Having worked as an "exotic dancer" (read: stripper) I have always had an interest in the way women are portrayed both by society and by themselves, and this gave me an opportunity to explore my nudity without the trappings of stripper stereotypes. I suppose I also wanted to show that women do not become sexless just because we become mothers, or live past the age of 30! I am still a sexual being at almost 40 years of age and want to share that for my own sake as well as others.
