ARTISTS STATEMENT

I was drawn to the ISM project because I liked the fact that it was about women photographing themselves the way they want to be seen and what they deem to be sexy. For me sexiness has a lot to do with comfort. Comfort in yourself, your surroundings and with the people around you. True sex appeal comes from the subtle, subconscious personality traits that cannot be faked or turned on and off whenever we want. This is what is captured in awkward and unglamorous photos and moments in our lives, and cannot be hidden when naked.
