ARTISTS STATEMENT

Life has been unconventional and not one I imagined. My happiness has always been interrupted by some tragedy but my dad's philosophy of "A Winner Never Quits and a Quitter Never Wins" has got me through the toughest times. Until the age of 16 I lived in a family of Jehovah's Witnesses and it was a relief to escape the repressive environment. I am happy with how the challenges in my life have been met and dealt with and that I have helped others overcome their problems. Art has been a great refuge. The obsession with balance and colour. Public nudity for others is fine but for myself nudity in print is more comfortable. Fame is fleeting so has never been my ambition. Look at history. This project was difficult because with the constraints imposed it was impossible to achieve the image as I perceived it. Persist until you succeed they say!
