ARTISTS STATEMENT

Before I heard of I Shot Myself, I had never thought of doing something of this kind. It was strange at first but when I became comfortable I realised it was a very liberating feeling. Nudity is so taboo in this day and age and I think it's ridiculous. People should be comfortable with who they are - we weren't born with clothes! I learnt more about how I feel about my body while shooting, and it was a great feeling. I think that the fact I never thought I would do something like this shows that for me at least, and probably for many others, where you draw the line is not always where you thought it was.
