ARTISTS STATEMENT
Doing the project was a big step for me. Guilt due to social expectations and pressures has held me back from being myself for a long time. So after the death of my grandmother during the new year, I decided that I would do what I wanted and express myself however I felt like it. This has been a huge part of a rebirth for me. Reclaiming the right to express joy in sexuality and nudity and all the privileges we have as sensual creatures encourages the truth in where we are as humans. So many people are suppressed and oppressed for sexuality and gender - old traditions and new exploitations breed fear, guilt and greed. I take pride knowing I have enjoyed putting myself out there and hope people receive pleasure as a result so that those out there being forced into the area of sexuality can have their freedoms restored. It's up to us as voyeurs and consumers to get our kicks from happy places...
