ARTISTS STATEMENT

For a long time, I carried a deep insecurity about my body. Every glance in the mirror was an internal battle, where I highlighted every imperfection and compared myself to unattainable standards. Society, with its beauty standards, only intensified this pressure, and I felt trapped in a cage of self-criticism. However, everything changed when I decided to photograph myself nude. This act, which at first seemed challenging, became a liberating experience. By undressing, not just physically but also emotionally, I began to see my body in a new light. The camera captured not only my form but also my essence. It was in that moment that I discovered the art of self-acceptance.
