ARTISTS STATEMENT

I grew up with a naked mum and I am so grateful that I did, I am certain that it?s one of the biggest reasons I feel so comfortable in my own naked body and seeing other people?s naked body. I?ve been overjoyed that I could find a platform where I can continue to feel comfortable in my body and to now have the experience of celebrating it beyond my own eyes. Ever since I?ve had a phone with my own private camera and library I have taken nude photographs of myself, majority of the time these were images that I kept to for my own private viewing (or sent to a lucky partner). Participating in this project has felt like an extension of what I?ve already been doing for so long, in a way it?s felt like I?ve been prepping for this for years! Being able to share my body is not only a privilege for myself but now I have given others the privilege to view my body. This truely feels like a step forward in a journey I?ll share with my body, looking at myself with a new perspective has never felt so freeing.
