ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have done nude modeling in the past for life drawing classes, but after the pandemic, I have felt way more scared to show my body. I used to wear my flaws with pride, lately, I've been spending all my energy trying to cover them up. Trying to be prettier was exhausting and miserable, and I've been slowly working at accepting my flaws again. The ISM project has made me feel sexy again. I am still aware and insecure about them. But I've learned that I can still be pretty with them, even if pimples and ingrown hairs are not most people's cup of tea.
