ARTISTS STATEMENT

Especially for me, this project means openness, acceptance, as if I could overcome fear in the world and be myself. Photo art in general, for me, is something that is forever, because any taken photo is a frozen moment, you can make a postcard from it, not to lose it forever. A naked woman or a human body in the photo can tell about the perception of your own body, about love for yourself. Seeing the photo is still just as aesthetically pleasing and unique. I already had experiences of professional shootings, but not selfies. Pics which were made by a photographer, were more like the photographer's vision of me as a model. And the selfie project helps to indulge and appreciate yourself from another, real point of view.
