ARTISTS STATEMENT
For me it was a spiritual experience of living and accepting oneself, of immersing oneself. Being aware of myself as a body as a whole and directing my attention to every single part of it. Buddhism teaches me that I am not a body. But neither am I. A form to be taken care of. To pamper, to train, to give rest, to be physically active. The body is sometimes smarter than the mind. It heals itself, it shows us where the pains and clamps are, at the same time it gives us pleasure, the ability to live and perceive this reality, to enjoy, to experience. The experience of living in the body is the coolest and most deeply spiritual adventure we can have. You could say I went through another one. Full of discoveries - playing with light, form, geometry, poses. And also - acceptance, balance, harmony, focus on beauty, uniqueness. The experience of shooting gave me the experience of inhabiting myself in the body. A new experience in a great fascinating life experience in the body. I am grateful to the space, my body and the project for this trip. Namaste.

ARTIST PROFILE
birthplace: Moscow, Russia
occupation: Freelance model
age: 31
height: 168cm
relationship status: Open relationships
starsign: Gemini
biggest passion in my life: Travel, anticipation of new discoveries, encounters with the unknown, new people, situations, challenges, and tasks
I like to listen to: Deep bass from the neurofunk in my headphones, the sound of a thunderstorm in the distance, the squeak of neon from the moisture of rain, the overflow of waves into the sea
I like to watch: People in the streets. I also love watching the sunrise in the mountains and I can enjoy watching the cats playing for a long time
I like to smell: Freshly cut grass, bonfires, asphalt after rain, kitty fur, basil, fresh bread and a newly opened book
I like to taste: The spice in Indian food, ripe strawberries, carrot juice, cocoa, coconut water, fries and cinnamon buns, tuna in a Subway sandwich, I also like my tears to taste
I like to feel: Fresh soft bed linen, the embrace of a favorite person, the moisture of the soil when I stand barefoot on the riverbank, the tears of happiness when I see the beautiful view of nature from above
favourite part of my body: My eyes, breasts, long hairs and thin fingers
favourite part of someone else's body: Arms with many veins, sharp cheekbones, eyes and shoulders
Why i shot myself: I like studying my body, its age changes, learning to see its beauty, even in its imperfections, to notice its manifestations and desires. I wanted to share this experience and observation with the world, and above all with the other women on the platform, who can also see this beauty, without adding lust to it, but seeing this photo set as a kind of story - a story of self-acceptance.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: I can't name a specific person either, as I like people in general. But most likely I would not waste my attention on standard Instagram models with blue ticks, lots of plastic surgery, who behave unnaturally and too vulgar, as if they were selling themselves in every picture. I would like to see real, live people with real bodies
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: I find it hard to imagine anyone in particular in this project. If possible, it would be a woman who is very creative, beautiful and deep, but who has criticisms of herself. I would like the project to help such people open up, because I am like that myself
Most outrageous thing I have done: Stole underwear from H&M once, had sex in a public park, climbed into an abandoned house that is private property, farted in a lift full of people and pretended it wasn't me
Bands I like: Podval Capella WOODJU, ODESZA, Free Flow Flava, Drummatix, 7000$, Two Feet, Unkle, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Placebo, Limp Bizkit, KoЯn, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Mars Argo, Elvis Presley
Books I like: Generation P and Hermit and Six-Toes by Viktor Pelevin, Neuropolitics by Timothy Leary, Who's Afraid of the Tantric Guru? by Ananda Katha, Buddha, Brain and Neurophysiology of Happiness by Yonge Mingyur
Films I like: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Across the Universe, Filth, Trainspotting, Fight Club, I Love You Phillip Morris, The Boondock Saints, Four Rooms, RocknRolla, Snatch, Pulp Fiction, Enter the Void, Erleuchtung garantiert, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Bad Times at the El Royale, The Dark Knight, Sin City, Big Fish, What We Do in the Shadows, Elvis
