ARTISTS STATEMENT

Comenzaría diciendo que disfruto mucho de la desnudez, lo íntimo y lo vulnerable son lugares que me gusta habitar y compartir. Me gustan los cuerpos, las texturas, las historias, las duchas, los detalles pequeños, los olores, las sombras, y de una u otra forma lo extiendo a mi vida con amigos, familia, perritos, plantas y seres que amo.Lo cierto es que esa intimidad la guardo en general para momentos pequeños, privados, cotidianos, no suelo mostrar mucho de mi misma, no uso redes ni me saco fotos, por lo que este proyecto fue para mi algo inesperado y gracioso. Pude ver mi cuerpo desde perspectivas diferentes, extrañas y espontáneas y fue más sencillo de lo que esperaba; disfrute capturar las luces y la calidez del sol de otoño, encontrar lugares bellos de mi casa para retratarme y componer imágenes donde yo misma esté incluida, y donde de formas nuevas me reconozco con cariño. / I would start by saying that I really enjoy nudity, intimacy and vulnerability are places that I like to inhabit and share. I like bodies, textures, stories, showers, small details, smells, shadows, and in one way or another I extend that to my life with friends, family, puppies, plants and beings that I love. The truth is that I generally keep that intimacy for small, private, everyday moments, I don't usually show much of myself, I don't use social networks, nor do I take photos of myself, so this project was something unexpected and funny to me. I was able to see my body from different perspectives, strange and spontaneous, and it was easier than I expected. I enjoyed capturing the lights and warmth of the autumn sun, finding beautiful places in my house to photograph myself in, and composing images where I am included, and where in new ways I lovingly recognize myself.

I like to feel: In fall the sun visits my house just in a little corner by the window, I love those hours of warmth in the morning

Why i shot myself: I saw my roommate take pictures of herself for this project and her confidence encouraged me to try to know myself in this way.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: I don't think that there's a person I wouldn't want to see in this kind of way
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: I would love to see my close friends taking photos of themselves, discovering the little details they like about themselves, being able to see themselves with the same loving eyes with which I see them
Most outrageous thing I have done: Maybe this? I don't usually take pictures of myself
