ARTISTS STATEMENT

I am an absolute sucker for art, and expressing myself. I have always been an artist, I love to paint, make sculptures out of wood or stone, design. This is my passion. Quite recently I've been told that it's not okay to express yourself in this kind of form or to make money with your body. I am half German and half Syrian, my Syrian side is very conservative and my father is ashamed of me for taking on jobs like this. My mother has similar views on this topic, which makes my whole situation a little difficult, although I am all about being myself and not changing for anybody else no matter what. Which is why I am doing it. I decided I am not alive to live for somebody else.
