ARTISTS STATEMENT

I already sensed that this work was going to be interesting, I approached it as an opportunity to make my fat body visible and record the diversity of existing bodies. It is not usual that they are shown in the media and much less naked. The reigning fatphobia of these means of course, that it affects me. My relationship with my body and with my nudity has never been easy. This is why this project was so interesting and timely for me, I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity even though I knew it would not be easy for me. However it has not been a process as long as I thought, I have been able to free myself and find beauty in my body, it has been an intuitive and natural connection. I can take this opportunity to convey how comfortable I am in my skin. It has been an extraordinary and transformative experience.
