ARTISTS STATEMENT

Después de haber leído de qué trata la página me encontré muy feliz ya que siempre he tenido muchos conflictos con mi cuerpo por no ser parte del grupo de gente hegemónica y aceptada socialmente. Ser una mujer real es muy difícil bajo el ojo juzgador. Esta idea me resulta muy emocionante ya que puedo trabajar mi amor propio y mostrarme tal cual soy. Ser una mujer real es muy difícil bajo el ojo juzgador. Esta idea me resulta muy emocionante ya que puedo trabajar mi amor propio y mostrarme tal cual soy. Me gusta sacarme fotos pero nunca puedo plasmarlo por todo lo que conlleva la explosión de los cuerpos reales, con estrías, marcas, lunares, pelos. Pero, he aquí una poco de mi, siendo yo misma y aceptándome por fin. / After having read what the site is about, I was very happy since I have always had many conflicts with my body for not being part of the hegemonic and socially accepted group of people. Being a real woman is very difficult under the judging eye. This idea is very exciting to me since I can work on my self-love and show myself as I am. I like to take pictures of myself but I can never capture it because of everything that the explosion of real bodies entails, with stretch marks, marks, moles, hairs. But here's a bit of me, being myself and finally accepting myself.
