ARTISTS STATEMENT

Mi relación con la fotografía me encanta, me tomo muchas fotos. Además, me gusta verme desnuda por lo que mi experiencia en I shot myself fue muy satisfactoria. Tuve un reto con un grupo de amigos, en el cual tenía que caminar desnuda en un parque donde había mucha gente. Esa fue mi primera experiencia de desnudez frente a varias personas. Siento que la expresión del cuerpo frente a la cámara es un arte muy personal, en el cual se exponen inevitablemente muchas emociones intimas y me trajo muchos recuerdos de otras fotos que he tomado para algún novio. También pienso que no es fácil desnudarse frente a otros y este portfolio me hizo sentir valiente y que podía sentirme segura de mi misma, de mi cuerpo y mis emosiones. / I love my relationship with photography, I take a lot of photos. Also, I like to see myself naked so my experience in I Shot Myself was very satisfying. At once I had a challenge with a group of friends, in which I had to walk naked in a park where there were many people. That was my first experience of nudity in front of several people. I feel that the expression of the body in front of the camera is a very personal art, in which many intimate emotions are inevitably exposed and it brought back many memories of other photos that I have taken for boyfriends. I also think that it is not easy to undress in front of others and this portfolio made me feel brave and that I could feel sure of myself, my body and my emotions.
