ARTISTS STATEMENT

I took this project up largely as part of a wider focus I have on accepting myself entirely. I've been working on my mental health for a long time now, and have only recently started to try liking my physical self. Being gender-diverse can sometimes crush my need for creativity, as I feel I'll be judged; most often by myself, but sometimes by others. Dysphoria can turn me from a confident extrovert into an absolute recluse. This folio, though, I think shows me at my most sexy and confident, which I somehow found at my most vulnerable.

Why i shot myself: Because I felt it was the right time; at the moment in my life, I feel entirely free. This was the perfect extension of that.

Most outrageous thing I have done: Sleeping with and subsequently falling a bit in love with my housemate. Oops
