ARTISTS STATEMENT

Contribuer a Ishotmyself est un defi que je me suis lance pour apprehender ma nudite autrement. Pour me pousser a me regarder sans fards et assumer ce corps, ces courbes que j'ai si souvent deteste. Etre nue pour les autres n'est pas un probleme, j'ai ete modele pour des cours de dessin, de peinture, pour des photos artistiques, j'apprecie le nudisme. Me regarder, me prendre en photo moi meme et apprecier ce que je vois est tout autre chose. Je ne sais pas etre sexy, prendre la pause. Je suis plus quelqu'un qui s'accroche dur comme fer "au naturel". Ce que je veux apprendre et travailler, c'est comment rendre ce naturel desirable et beau pour les autres, mais surtout pour moi. Ishotmyself est un projet qui me parle profondement pour ça et je sens que je peux trouver des pistes de reponses grace a ce media. / Contributing to Ishotmyself is a challenge I gave myself to apprehend my nudity in a new way. To challenge myself to look at myself without tricks and assume this body, those curves I've hated so many times. Being nude for others is not a problem to me, I've been a nude model for drawing, painting classes, art photography, I like nudism. Looking at my nude self is another level. I don't know how to be sexy, how to pause. I would say I'm very raw. But I want to learn and work on how to make this raw desirable and beautiful for others and especially me. The Ishotmyself project is absolutely relevant and accurate to me for those reasons and I feel I can find some answers through this media.
