ARTISTS STATEMENT

Working as a dancer I'm used to getting naked in a controlled setting where I have a lot of makeup on, including foundation over my surgery scars on my breasts. The lighting is dim and I feel as though I look like a controlled and polished version of myself, the version that most appeals to men. This shoot gave me a lot of anxiety because I had to let go of that control and be authentically myself as there was nowhere or nothing to hind behind.

Books I like: Too many to name - I just finished "Fight like a Girl" by Clementine Ford and it made me laugh and cry. A good read for anyone who doesn't believe in Feminism
Films I like: Harry Potter is my favourite series, ET, Titanic, good horror movies
