ARTISTS STATEMENT

It took me a long time to be comfortable with my body and even being naked just by myself. In the past 7 years my body has gone through a lot of changes, chronic and life threatening illness, weight gain and loss and the addition of tattoos. My body is a vessel that has gotten me through all that and which I express myself with, especially through my tattoos. They show my journey and the theme of life and death, which are perfectly represented by flowers which I have been covering myself in. I wanted to do this shoot to honor my body and feel empowered by all that I have been able to achieve with it. Confidence is the most sexy thing you can have whether nude or not and I was excited to show that.
