ARTISTS STATEMENT

Participating in this project was the first time I shot myself nude, or even shot myself in a selfie mode. It was a challenge to be creative when you are in your most vulnerable state, can't hide behind groovy clothes or accessories, just myself and the camera. The project has definitely helped me look at my WHOLE body as something that is uniquely beautiful. There are so many features of my body that never get to be seen by anyone other than my partner, including myself. I have never been ashamed of my body, I am comfortable in my skin, however, this project has multiplied this confidence 10 fold.
