ARTISTS STATEMENT

I'm Maree and I am a portrait photographer who loves all things art, especially the photographic kind. I am passionate about helping people feel comfortable in their own skin. I love photographing the nude form and have been photographing myself naked, for over 10 years. It is very empowering being naked in front of a camera, you are completely vulnerable and I actually find it to be a meditative process. After having my first child, I discovered how much of an exhibitionist I am. Through the ups and downs of trying to get my libido back, I found shooting myself and forcing myself to get in front of the camera to be a great way to find myself sexually again.
