ARTISTS STATEMENT

Being naked as always made me feel vulnerable and shy. Not because I was insecure about my body, but because I always felt exposed and like it was wrong for some reason. While shooting, I realized that nudity is empowering and something to embrace. I have always felt strong physically but being naked for an extended period of time has helped enforce that and allow me to actually see it on myself and appreciate that about myself. I think having clothes on can distract people from the body's natural beauty while nudity is more pure. I enjoyed participating in ISM and getting to know my body a little better and becoming more comfortable in my own skin.
