ARTISTS STATEMENT

This Project really helped me explore my body, and the creative ways I can use my body. I relished the opportunity to use nudity in an artistic sense, rather than having to view it as a cultural 'taboo'. Being nude wasn't a problem for me because I spend most of my leisure time in the nude, anyway. The hardest aspect of the shoot for me was getting the shots I wanted from arm's length away, and without being able to accurately frame the shot. I think the world would be a lot less complicated if everyone was nude all the time, but we'd all get very cold. My theme was inspired by a song by The Sleepy Jackson, called 'fill me with apples'...
