ARTISTS STATEMENT

All insecurities aside, I love my body, and I got involved with Project ISM because I want to show it to the world. Not because it's perfectly primped and powdered and plucked, but because it's not. I do such things as I see fit, and for myself. The inbuilt shame of one's nudity that seems to appear the same time as puberty does is something we all have to deal with to some degree, but to carry it on into your adult lives is insanity. A woman's form should not be an offense to the senses - it should be worshipped and revered because it is, in essence, a thing of beauty. And when it comes down to it, "I'm happy as a lark, stark naked" (Bettie Page). And it shows.
