ARTISTS STATEMENT

I feel it's a shame that the body is sort of seen like a project or a machine, or both simultaneously. We are forever "perfecting" our bodies, trying to fill external desires and stipulations, which is draining, boring and futile. I also feel sad that if a woman shows any amount of skin, or wears something tight, she is immediately sexualised. Sometimes even if she is breastfeeding her child. I wish women could wear what they want without wondering if she looks too "slutty" or "frigid," and only be concerned about whether she is comfortable and confident, whether it is practical (e.g. if she is cycling or working on a construction site), whether it is weather-suitable (because who wants to wear jeans in 30 degree heat?), and, of course, whether she wants to and that she FEELS good as she thinks she looks good!
