ARTISTS STATEMENT

For as long as I can remember, I hated my body and have struggled with eating disorders since my teen years, and in the past year I have worked really hard in recovery to reclaim my body. During this process I started creating body positive art to promote my own self love, and I saw this opportunity as a way to take that art one step further and let go of all the ideals that society places on AFAB people to fit a certain type of body mold. This experience was wonderful and during the shoot I felt more and more comfortable after every photo.
