ARTISTS STATEMENT

I grew up in an all-female household, so running around naked was never a big deal. I have always been comfortable in my own skin, and doing this Project seemed like a great opportunity for some fun (which it was!). I'm glad I did it. Shooting yourself is very liberating, and an interesting approach to take in self-portraiture. Unless you try it, you'll never know exactly how difficult it is to try and take a photograph of your back...
