| ARTISTS STATEMENT |
I have had many issues with my body and image over the years. I have struggled to find confidence in the way I looked growing up, which sadly is very common. I had an eating disorder from a young age, from self starvation, calorie counting and self harm, throwing away food, trying hypnosis and going days without eating, even convincing myself that a rumbling stomach was an applause. It wasn't until my first relationship that I started to feel beautiful but not because of my then boyfriend, but with age I found maturity and empowerment with sexuality. I have always celebrated self love but more so in others rather than myself, but now I look in the mirror and see a fascinating, complex and powerful person before me, with my "flaws" and all.
