ARTISTS STATEMENT

I love being naked, I grew up in the bush and was always naked swimming in waterfalls and frolicking in nature. I never thought being naked was a big deal. When I got older and moved closer to the city and started seeing how much the female body is controlled and nudity is judged I found it really strange. Sex is used openly in advertising to sell products but if a woman exposes an 'inappropriate' amount of skin on the streets or in photos she is all to often judged and labelled. I wanted to get involved with this project because I love being naked and I see no reason why any woman should not be proud to expose her body. I had a lot of fun doing this and hope to do it again.
