ARTISTS STATEMENT

I choose to embrace all that I am. I choose to appreciate every scar, imperfection, and curve. I think it is really important to appreciate and love our bodies and embrace our sexuality. Growing up with a sister who struggled with her appearance and dealt with bullying I was privy to just how painful it can be to hate the skin you are in. I have always been very open with sexuality and nudity with people I know. I wanted to step out of that comfort zone and embrace my sexuality and nudity with others. I think its important for people to see bodies of all shapes and sizes. It is hard not to compare yourself to the images you are flooded with in media. By putting myself out there for people to see, I feel I truly accepted and embraced my own nudity and sexuality.
