ARTISTS STATEMENT

Growing up I always had a few issues with how I looked, nothing too major, I just felt like I didn't live up to the standards and there was always this bit or that bit that just didn't seem 'right'. Over the past couple of years I've grown to love my own body on its own and not in relation to anyone else. I feel that sex and sexuality in this society is often hidden or found repulsive, and that breaking this stereotype or general attitude is the first step to both opening ourselves up and stopping the cycle for younger folk (and older folk!) who just don't feel 'up to scratch'. In breaking this for myself I feel more comfortable in all the things I do and feel excited with all the wacky new experiences to be had out there!

biggest passion in my life: Everything! Don't even get me started. Anatomy, sculpture, art, history, math, chemistry...
I like to listen to: I love the sound of water falling into a large basin and all animal sounds!
I like to watch: I love to laze under a tree and become entranced by the swaying of the leaves.
I like to smell: I love the smell of rust, that moment when you flake it off from a larger clump.
I like to taste: I adore the taste of anise seed, give it to me in tea, on food or as licorice, I don't care.
I like to feel: the feel of my skin under a warm doona against a fuzzy blanket or someone else after a cold shower.
favourite part of my body: My hands are my favourite part of my body. Not only are they tiny and beautiful, they let me do pretty much anything I want.
favourite part of someone else's body: Eyes, eyes, eyes! Those windows into the soul, you get me every time. Hot damn.
Why i shot myself: I'm always open to new experiences, they're just waiting for you to be excited about them, right?
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: No one! Everyone should give it a shot, they all have something awesome to offer!
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: Helena Bonham Carter. What an utter wacky babe!

Most outrageous thing I have done: Nothing is outrageous anymore! What could I possibly say?
Bands I like: Industrial Grindcore! Experimental electronic! At the moment probs Doddodo.
Books I like: The Mists of Avalon = BEST BOOK EVER! That one was a first in a long time.
Films I like: Most films do quite nicely except horror. Give me experimental, particularly focusing on images with no talking.
