ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have become very comfortable with my naked body and despite not having what some people beleive are typically "beautiful" features I am very proud of the way I am. I've always been intrigued by nude photography and it's ability to capture the essence of a body. I personally love the use of light and it's effect in photos: the way it highlights the various aspects of a body and can evoke a range of emotions. For this reason I used light in some of my photos to add another degree of depth and intrigue. Being proud of my body and having a love for photography, I have always wanted an opportunity like this to have some fun and see what images I could produce. Not only has this experience enabled me to fufill something I've always wanted to do, it has allowed me to discover more about myself and enhance my confidence. I have gained so much from something that was so much fun to do.
