"I found it really hard to find time alone to shoot, life is so crazy at the moment. Lighting was a bit tricky, but I got there in the end. I've never taken a shoot of myself before, so it was a challenge, a really enjoyable one! It's so different to looking in the mirror, such a brand new perspective."

Every time Kitkat takes us underwater, we find ourselves taking a deep breath as if we're being submerged too, and holding it as we watch her float. It's that vicarious quality that makes us glad to experience her excellent work, but it's the strong, sweet force of Kitkat's personality that makes us miss her when it's over.

"I shot in my courtyard and it was such a nice day, warm and sunny. I had complete privacy to shoot, it was the perfect place and I felt really safe and comfortable. Half the shoot was really me sunning myself... Thankfully I didn't get sunburnt anywhere! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day, everyone I spoke to I thought to myself 'You have no idea what I've just done!'

"I’m not really into Christmas but this was different! In Germany, Christmas means bad weather and people freaking out. There are heaps of decorations in the houses – we go OVERBOARD. It was fun to be a bit cheeky with the baubles. I have 3 male housemates and I showed them a few photos and they asked to watch but I said they were not allowed to watch!"

"I sing and play guitar, and I won a very special faux Oscar which caught the corner of my eye while shooting and I HAD to involve it in the shoot. The caterpillar couldn't help but get involved - there was no way out! I was super turned on by getting naked behind, and in front of the camera."

It's a sign of folks who grew up in the 80's that the sight of a puppet like Evie D's got has us wondering, where's the MenaMena guy? However, kids who grew up in the 80's are full-grown adults in 2011, so it's not long before we forget completely about the puppet and focus on Evie D instead.

"It was a beautiful sunny day and I got in amongst the grass in my backyard. At one point my housemate came out and had a coffee with me, she watched me shoot for a bit, then gave some feedback on poses to try. I live in this crazy house with 5 other girls, we're all super close like sisters."

"I was trying to get the best light possible and got right up in the window. About 2 hours in, there's a knock at the door. I thought to myself, ah yes, they've finally had enough... I'm going to be told to put my goddamn clothes back on. Turned out to be a door to door mechanic promotion. Arrrghh! 'I already have a mechanic and I'm kinda in the middle of something!'"
