He said: "Yeah it was peaceful, except for the mosquitoes and leeches! No no, we hiked back up to the road and sat with this beautiful view, had a nice cold drink and just basked in it."

“It. Was. So. Cool. I climbed onto the big machine in the middle of the city... I just went for it and it was wild. I could hear people talking on their phones nearby and I wasn't sure if they could see me, naked, on a giant machine and photographing myself.”

We don’t often wish we were trees, but when we do it’s because Greeny Girl likes to hug them. Would it be worth it to lose our powers of speech and mobility? We do like to chat... but the more we look through this folio, the more we want to reach for the sky, and start putting down roots.

It’s hard to respond to Amber Lynn, in words, when it seems like hers cannot be really improved upon. I wish she could see our faces after watching - our eyes are kind of heart shaped and full of stars, because we are all a little bit in love with her. "This felt liberating - I was raised in a conservative family and then became an atheist. Now I just want to try things that I wasn't allowed before. My female housemates asked if they could see the photos. I've just never had someone just ask me, 'Can I see you naked?' But it was my reaction that surprised me the most - 'Sure!' Now, I feel like my body is normal, that it exists - that it's real.”

“I shot this while at a retreat in the Amazon Jungle in Peru. I enjoyed being able to walk around the whole area without worrying about being seen naked (it was quite isolated) and play with the jungle plants...and the hammock! My favourite ISM yet... I hope you love it too.”

"What we define as feminine and what we exclude is so arbitrary, sometimes femininity feels like a club in which dismissal is catastrophic to our identity. Doing this shoot reminded me that no one can define you but yourself, and my femininity is my own so long as I choose to hold it. Thankyou."

“I actually found it easy to shoot for ISM. It made me look at my body differently - instead of your reflection in the mirror; you are capturing yourself in the eye of the 'viewer'. I found this process interesting. I wanted to make something beautiful and feminine. To show my creases and folds, I'm all natural and wanted to express that.”

Look, there’s a whole lot more to kandi culture than plastic pony beads and neon pacifiers. There’s plush alligators, dancing, butterflies - and incidentally, a joyful insistence on one’s right to do whatever they want with their bodies, behave how they like, and look the way they wanna look. La finestra era l'unico punto della mia stanzetta ad avere una buona luce. Ho rotto di proposito la zanzariera per avere piu' spazio, cercando di sporgere fuori la testa. "I loved playing with the furniture and stuff around me. It's funny - you have a lot of possibilities, positions and angles. At first going outside was strange - but after a while it was really cool and enjoyable to feel the grass. I felt very sexy after shooting.”

“In Canada, the $1 coin is called a ‘Loonie’ because there’s a loon on the front of it. I wanted to incorporate some Canadiana into this shoot, so along with the loonie you will notice a shirt that I got at Roots a few years ago. I’m sure the constant stream of joggers loved this Canadian girl, giving them a cheeky reward for their commitment to fitness...”

"I got the pink dress at an op shop and it's one of my favourite pieces of clothing. I really do love underwear too. I just think frilly pretty underwear are the best way to feel feminine - apart from being naked, of course. I kind of looked at the photos in the end and surprised myself - I have nice breasts!"
