“These images were shot from 2009, through to some photos I took this morning on my hardwood floor, in the morning light. A history, of sorts, of self-documentation and exploration. I think my pictures show little in terms of physical change, however looking back I can't believe how long ago 2009 feels. So this is me, Hyperballad, old and new, changed and unchanged but forever following my bliss.”

"I saw my body as an art project - to shoot myself as an object. Then I looked at my body like a canvas - and thought why shouldn't I fill the blank canvas with colour? I felt free - I was not scared of being naked. I was terrified of dangerous animals though! I thought I saw snakes everywhere. There were birds, sun on my skin; I felt like a part of nature."

“I had a lot of fun shooting this folio, it was quite the challenge trying to get the lighting, shutter speeds and everything in focus with my new camera, but strutting around such an old elegant setting definitely made me feel old world sexy. Loved it."

With the advent of avid food bloggers, the recipe has become available with a quick google - but never have we seen them done quite like this.

"These photos came about from the need for a bit of self love, they're mostly taken in places where I'm relaxed and comfortable. Looking at myself from a different perspective, through a lens, surprisingly has made me see that I am beautiful, and sexy."

"I like fur - fur feels nice on the skin and it's kind of sexy. I don't have any pubic hair so it's nice to have some fur. I have a lot of furs - because I like dead things. "I found a broken door which led to an abandoned, burnt-down yarn shop with graffiti on the remaining walls. There was debris everywhere and I had to climb around rusty shingles and broken trees. I liked the fact that it was burnt and abandoned...”

"I decided to use many mirrors as I haven't looked wholly at myself in a mirror for a long time and thought it was time to become pro-mirror again. It's not that I'm not comfortable, just that my space was free from them ‘til now. They're not only good to look at yourself, but also at expanding spaces and helping to do really artistic things."

"I made the strap-on harness myself. I had been using it before I took the photos actually. I was with my lover but I felt so inspired that I had to kick her out of bed to take the photos. I'm leaving the country soon and I don't know when I'll return so it was one of those heated goodbye sessions, but she understood and she got to look at the photos afterwards."

"We waited until the very most comfortable moment to shoot this, we were playing before and we decided it was the time. It was very fun indeed, shooting at my place was very comfortable as well. It was very funny to concentrate in the photos while having sex, a huge distraction I'd say. This was an awesome experience."

"I was taking my van to the wreckers to get fixed, and I found lots of trees and a lake in the middle of the wreckers. There were lots of pretty flowers and trees. I took photos near the trees to be hidden. It was a really beautiful place. I went to buy balloons and sparkles to add something colourful to the shoot and then to the lake. It was really fun!"
