"I love the experience of my first shooting. It was so funny because I was shy, not confident at the beginning but after a couple of pictures it was an amazing experience. I began creative and now I enjoy that / On se decouvre toujours un peu plus et c'est ca qui est magique. La beaute du nu est vraiment quelquechose a decouvrir, on se sent belle et desirable en sans etre trop provocatrice et j'adore ca."

"I love how this site challenges one of the most problematic parts of mainstream porn: that it's an image for someone else, not the model's pleasure. So, in my folio, I marked my body with the words 'For Myself' in Arabic, the language of my upbringing. I tried to present my body the way it really looks, revealing the parts I feel self-conscious about, and I found beauty in them through photography. In Arab cultures, calligraphy and writing are considered meditative acts, and I tried to use them to think deeply about my body, myself, and my place in culture and society."

"I guess I'm a little bit of an exhibitionist. A consensual exhibitionist, not one of those creeps that goes around on the street whipping it out! But you know, if somebody wants to see... then why not?" And why not indeed! Join Katie and her friend as she embarks on a naked adventure in the forest.

"I wanted to capture the carefree nature of summertime and give this shoot a lyrical, dreamlike quality. The ripe, luscious summer fruits felt sweet in my mouth and sticky on my skin. I really enjoyed lying in the grass and smelling the fresh flowers and feeling the summer sun on my face. This shoot reminded me of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummers' Night Dream' and the Greek myth of Persephone and the pomegranate seeds."

"The folio didn't get off to the best start; my first location idea didn't work out and then I made the mistake of saving the shoot for an insanely hot day! It was a challenge to relax when it was 40 degrees! As it cooled down a bit and I headed back to my backyard I could really relax and be free. I had a lot of fun."

"It was a lot of fun to take the pictures and I got help from my friends, who gave me ideas and were holding mirrors or fabric. For the last shoot I took some pictures in our front yard and forgot that people might pass by. So I got quite a lot of shocked looks by old people and other pedestrians on their way to church, which is directly next to our house!"

"This folio is a dedication to the beauty of a woman in the morning. Whether she has sleepy eyes, messy hair, or both, there is something so sensual about that state. I find that waking up slowly, taking in the beauty of the day and the self, and occupying one's mind with wonderful and wacky thoughts is one of the most enjoyable parts of the day. The very personal and intrinsic process of waking up and going though the daily motions at one's own pace, comfortable in one's own skin is something we don't get to appreciate all that often. I felt easy like Sunday Morning when I shot myself. Always enjoy your Morning Glory ladies and gents."

"One Friday morning I was working on a fashion design project and hit a creative block. I grabbed my box of fabric trims and decided to shoot myself! I lay down on my bed and covered myself in fabric pieces and took photos with them on my naked body. I also played around with my fashion design book, mannequin and handcuffs for extra fun."

"Because I am travelling, and I just moved into the place where I took the pictures, I didn't get the time to make the room nice and cozy yet. It looks a bit messy and very basic. I would love to share my room in Belgium with you, that looks very cute and very my own style."

"I shot my folio in my apartment with the blinds pulled up. There is something very exciting about roaming around naked and not worrying that someone might see you. Even stranger for me as I had just got back from spending the morning in the laboratory in a white coat and all. Being happy and confident in your own skin shouldn't just be a private act so this folio was about loving myself including all the scars, freckles and pores, no matter who is watching."

"With stars in my eyes (on my tummy, on my bum, my nipples, my face, my legs...) I began the task of dismantling the show. The bubble wrap was no match for my pressing thighs, gripping teeth, clenching fists. The boxes made nice cubbies. I wandered naked through the gallery space, singing to myself and chatting to the camera. As the exhibition came to a close, it was nice to look back on the experience and reflect on the show. After two weeks, the gallery space had became my own space, and the nude figures became my friends. I saw a lot, i heard a lot, a learned a lot, and I'm glad I documented it with a film."

"When I came across the IShotMyself website I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I decided to do the shoot for some excitement, and because I'm happy in my skin. I'm always looking at my naked body in the mirror, not to criticise but to just look at my curves. While doing the shoot I felt uninhibited, naughty, sexy and cheeky as it's something I had never done before. I mainly shot indoors but for a few of the photos I went outside in my backyard and I felt like a naughty girl laying on the trampoline totally nude. It was a fun experience!"

"I wanted to play with the concept of "coming out of the closet" - naked and ready for the world. I also wanted to see how much I could play with my body's natural curves and to be able to see/discover angles of myself I possibly hadn't seen before. Although I was excited to do this, I didn't anticipate it to be SO much fun to do! I really enjoyed taking the photos of myself, and to play around with the camera and my body."

This shoot was a great way to christen my new bedroom! I've just moved into this room and to be able to play around nude was awesome. I felt so at ease surrounded by my things. It was different from my first shoot because I felt more comfortable and relaxed, which led me to get quite turned on by the whole thing. Can't wait to shoot again and maybe do the next one in my new garden!

"At first I was incredibly apprehensive, since the only time I have done anything close to this before was a home made calendar for a long-term ex boyfriend. Despite being a very sensual person, I'm very critical of myself and doing this is part of overcoming that struggle and trying to love myself and my body. I loved the theme of the shoot, especially since I'm a big fan of quaint, white interiors! I really surprised myself by how open and willing I was to show off my body by the end of the shoot, it's crazy how fast you lose your inhibitions. It's also a great way to get turned on, which I will definitely be using in the future!"
