Hiya Barbie
Hi Ken!
Do you want to go for a ride?
No Ken, I'm busy subverting the dominant paradigm!
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
Go away Ken.
"I decided to write on me what my inadequate exes made me feel during the time I was with them. They were both highly insecure men who took it out on me - you know, that old chestnut. It was empowering to physically wash off those words, to put a physical act to the journey I have been through since breaking up with my last boyfriend who completely broke me. That's the only real explanation I need for my photos. The glitter was just because I love glitter."

"'The body is not a thing, it is a situation [...] a movement toward the other' - Simone de Beauvoire. I use 'nonsense', personal attitude acting on my carnality and true animalistic nature as a part of my composition and maturity, a measure between the beginning of my sense of self and the chaos of my strongest feelings; an internal sense of satisfaction to which once we have experienced it, we know we can aspire and improve. For me, yoga is a source of inspiration, providing a basis for posing and flexibility"
"I've been doing photography for a long time but I haven't done people and nude stuff for several years because I've been studying architecture. I've just been taking photos of streets, buildings, and really boring stuff like drains and curbs and traffic signs. Getting back to human photography and body stuff is really fun for me now that I've gained heaps of photo skills."
"When I was shooting, grass kept going into places grass should never go and I'm sure I have a bug bite on my ass now. It was a lovely sunny day but it was a little chilly but that's good because my nips needed that little bit of help! My best friend helped me by lending me his backyard and chatting with me while I shot."

"The photos I took were better than I expected because there were 1000000 mosquitoes who tried to eat me alive!"
"Today I went to my friend's machine shop and took some naked photos. It was a bit chilly but I had a heater on in the background. I played around with the angle of the mirror and close-ups, trying to get the lighting to work with me. I was seeing what angles/poses I thought were sexy and what worked and what didn't. It was fun."
"This photoshoot was completely different to what I expected it to be. I thought I was going to have some strong message/theme, but once the mirrors came out it took on a life of it's own. The mirrors themselves became my focus and what they reflected. I liked they were old, scratched, imperfect; it gave them that much more character and it reflected (pardon the pun) on what I felt about myself. I loved the 3-part mirror the best. Sometimes I'd start to take a photo and realize I'd captured more than I intended. I felt a bit hesitant photographing my bottom half but it's about embracing yourself, right? So taking photos of those parts of my body I'm most self-conscious, just acknowledging them as part of myself was empowering. Seeing yourself reflected and loving what you see because it's yours...That's what this shoot became for me"

"I have a blurry recall of what I shot myself, I tried different objects that I might interact with like umbrella, chair, blanket, mirror, toilet paper haha, make up..... Sun and artificial light definitely brings out more dimensions and pore-less whitening to my 'imperfect' body, it gives me a new perspective on how I can look. Sometimes I felt so discouraged by my boobs, because I look flat no matter how I awkwardly twisted my torso to create that erotic look but in the end it did not bother me and I had a lot of fun!"
"Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time..."
"Silly, serious, sexy and weird. I wanted to explore the diversity of one body, the way a single being moves through an ever changing form. How many dresses can a naked person wear? I like to think of the setting of my shoot as an invitation into a playful exploration of the duality of humans' nature as natural beings, the same as trees or mountains, merging with an artificial, yet nature made world."

"I decided to use the beautiful lighting in my house and stage the shoot mostly in the tub. I love the natural light in there. I incorporated milk as I was feeling a little like a milky baby today. I also love the way it looks against skin, lips, hair and my mouth. Fun fact: they add milk to the water they use for "rain" on film and television sets. For me personally, it added another colour/texture/layer to the shoot. I couldn't actually drink any of the milk though cause I am lactose intolerant. I love living with plants in my home, some of them live in the bath so naturally, I grabbed a few more. I had so much fun shooting myself! I want to do it again."

"This shoot is about my body in its most natural form. I included plants because they reflect the organic and natural beauty of a woman's body. I really enjoyed doing the shoot because I got a chance to explore my own body from different angles and in a different way than I ever have before."
"Hi it's Anja, it's day 1 of shooting my outdoor shoot and I've been sorting out accessories and styling at home. These are really awesome holographic stickers I'm going to put on my cheekbones and forehead. I've got a lot of glitter and I'm wearing this net dress.I've got heaps of stuff to make the shoot look more visually interesting."

"For my shoot I decided to have a kind of picnic with myself - a fruit picnic. I set up a comfy blanket in front of my housemate's mirror on her balcony, got a bowl of delicious ripe fruit and also a book I enjoy that's a little naughty. I was really enjoying playing with the fruit and recognising similarities between its shape and that of my own body and of course, the taste of the fruit and its juices colouring my lips and running down my chin. Then I realised the neighbours would see me if they went on their balcony and I got a little shy, so I went and got my favourite pink blanket to pose under. I really enjoyed the soft pink glow the light coming through the blanket gave me. After a little playing with my blanket, I realised I was proud of my body and had nothing to hide - so I finished the rest of the shoot. I ended it with some fun mirror play which I am really proud of! I hope you like it too."
