"I want to thank all of the gorgeous souls who have helped me embrace myself. It has allowed me to bare not just my body but a little bit of heart for this project. "You don't have to be pretty. You don't owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don't owe it to your mother. You don't owe it to your children. You don't owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked female". I love my body just the way it is, and hope it shines through my images that I have shot in my safe space."

"All these photos were taken at home, in a nice and cozy environment. I shot them in the daytime, I was in the mood to try something new and explore my body. I wanted to discover myself from new sides and create something beautiful and aesthetic. It was nice to be undressed and feel completely free and liberated. It was nice to take these photos, to gradually explore the details of my body and find new poses for the photos. I had a lot of fun playing with the light and camera positions. I really enjoyed doing this type of photography, it felt like I was opening up to myself and feeling new, more delicate, feminine and open."

"It's been a while! I've spent the summer at the beach so have some intense tan lines and more freckles than usual. I wanted to capture this summer vibe in my shoot by starting in my bathers (I had been outside reading in the sun). The rest of the folio was shot in my roommate's bedroom (it has much better lighting than mine) while she was at work. I felt a bit naughty but I enjoyed the thrill of not knowing when she would be home. I also wanted to do a no makeup look for this shoot and it made me feel so confident."

"This is my second time in making a photo shoot for I Shot Myself. I really enjoy working with ISM and I am glad that I am allowed to this shooting again. It's always super fun to do but also quiet a challenge. Taking so many pictures and trying to make them all different isn't easy but it definitely makes you creative which I love. This time I did the shoot at my friend's place where I am living for a short period. I enjoyed a lot that there are many different rooms in the house and also a big garden. It's fun to play around with the camera and light but always towards the end of the shooting it's really challenging because I am just running out of ideas. It was also really different this time because I wasn't alone at home like last time. Less privacy, but I still felt super comfortable doing it and my friends are super nice and were supporting me in doing it. Now I just finished the shoot and I am feeling great. I love my body and love being nude and enjoy to see my body in different ways. Thank you!"

"So this set of images were shot by myself, to show purity and rawness. To show yourself behind a lens with no filters and fake consumptions, these images unearths the context of nudity and what it feels like to be completely naked and free. Whilst I was taking these images, I was thinking to myself - "What would set me apart from others, what will make me different?", some images came to mind, as you can see from the end result. Using a friend's house as a base for a vast majority of the photos, I was slightly limited of the way in which I could express myself, however I feel like I did my best given the circumstances. Touching myself all over, showing you areas of my body I haven't otherwise shown a friend or a partner, can be quite daunting to some, however I do love my body, whatever shape or size, marked or unmarked, so it came naturally to myself. I did come across some difficult situations, meaning it is actually quite hard to take photos without a timer on, nevertheless I did really enjoy taking these photos of me, and I'm sure more will come in the future."

"I decided to set my theme for this shoot as a "hot reading", from a quiet "dressed version" to a naked one, with the purpose to show a different view of myself. I took a big mirror and put it on the balcony. I had to admit that I had to do that task over two different days, because I didn't know how to do different positions at first. At the end of the shoot I felt like I have discovered the beauty of some forgotten parts of my body. It was a great sensation. I am happy about this project because it let me discover new positions to shoot myself. And also I found the beauty of some parts of my body that I didn't see before."

"Hi there! This set was shot by me in my apartment, I rent a cool simple-looking small flat on the 35th floor. Maybe the design is pretty simple and I didn't have much space to use different locations (sunlight is a rare guest here during winter time), I still hope you'll enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed making a set! I put on some songs during the shoot to make it more interactive for myself haha, most of the time Shout by Placebo was playing. It was the first time I took this many pics using hands and feet only in my life! That's the main reason I said "yes" to this project, I was curious if I can manage it! I struggled in the beginning because of the lighting, it's too hard to shoot with no indoor lighting here. But, it was a cool new experience for me, I shoot nude pretty often as a hobby, but never myself haha. Hopefully I can repeat it someday!"

"This is my second shoot with ISM and it was just as fun as the first time. This time I used a mirror and I loved how many more positions and poses I was able to do and how much more I could explore. I felt more comfortable this time as I had more of an idea of what to do and what I was capable of. I also appreciated my body more and was more comfortable with how I looked taking these pictures. I feel really good being able to do this shoot again - I want to be able to keep coming up with ideas and doing other different shoots."

"This shoot was taken 5 years since my last. My body has changed but I felt so much more comfortable in my own skin this time round! The shoot was done in mine and my partner's apartment - he loved watching me take the photos and feel the self love in the air. I totally forgot how challenging taking a variety of pics could be but had such a sense of elation once I was done. I hope people can see my personality come out in the photos, I play tennis, watch American football and love to read and play FIFA - not many people know that last one about me!"

"I decided to show my usual morning routine in this photo shoot. I love to relax naked, and I shot in my apartment. Unfortunately, I don't have much sun in my apartment at all, so I had to look for the brightest corners. It wasn't easy for me because I didn't want to repeat shots and was looking for different angles, positions, light. But due to this, it was interesting what the results would be. This is my first time taking so many photos. I seized the moment while I had the inspiration and desire to take as many photographs, and I liked the process. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in such a beautiful project. It was important for me to convey exactly my morning mood. I like the concept of the site, so I wanted to support it with my contribution."

"Soy mamá así que me tomé las fotos en mi cuarto, en un momento se cortó la luz, por suerte era de día así que no hubo problema con eso, cuando me vi mientras me tomaba las fotos me sentí sexy y atrevida, hacía mucho que no me sentía así, desde hace 3 años mi vida es la casa y la maternidad así que esto fue algo nuevo y muy interesante. / I'm a Mom so I took my pictures in my room, at one point the light was cut, luckily it was daytime so there was no problem with it, when I saw myself while I was taking the pictures I felt sexy and daring, I had not felt like that for a long time, for 3 years my life has been the house and motherhood so this was something new and very interesting."

"So, I took these images while I wandered around my house. It proved a bit difficult due to the light being quite harsh but I still enjoyed the process thoroughly. I have previously done nude self-portraiture for art folios and so I used this opportunity to just view my body in various positions and bring a playful sensual side to what I was doing instead of the usual, trying to get the perfect angle and margins etc. It made me appreciate my body and the way it moves. My home is quite a nude-friendly place so it isn't out of the ordinary for my housemates to see me naked but it was quite amusing having them come downstairs thinking I was just sunbathing to then realise I was working on something and run through the room with an - "Oh shoot, sorry I'll get out of the background!" Aaahhh!"

"Finally after three years, I have created another quirky and sensual contribution. I approached this shoot with an aim to give insight into my personality, energy and lifestyle. I did the shoot over another busy weekend with the sun beating down in my backyard and plenty of beautiful natural light showering my skin. There was so much sweat at times, and my body is sore in some places from capturing as many unique angles as possible. Maybe I need more yoga in my diet? My soul feels nourished and my smiles are genuine as I was completely connected with myself, feeling free and authentic."

"Hello everyone, this is my third shoot for I Shot Myself and I was very excited and a little nervous when I did it, as I wanted to show myself who I am. In these photos I also wanted to show my apartment. I have been working as a model for 4 years and I bought this apartment for myself, I'm very proud of it. I also wanted to show you my hobbies. I really like to paint pictures and give them to my friends. One of my favourite things at home though is my cat and you might see him in some of the photos. I also bought myself a new dress for this shoot, it brings out the color of my eyes well. I hope you enjoy my photos! xx."

"I decided to take the photos in my room, during a warm day of summer, listening to music that helped inspire me and connect with the purest and most organic aspects of my body. Throughout the afternoon, I added colourful flowers and allowed my body to flow while practicing some stretching. It was very pleasant how many ideas and images came to my mind meanwhile I was playing with the camera. I felt that creating this portfolio would give me a new perspective on how sensual and beautiful I can be posing nude, and indeed, that's how I felt!"
