"I'm used to being photographed, never taking the pictures myself. I'm also used to modeling avant garde and alternative fashion, often involving many layers of clothing and accessories that hide and obscure the body so I felt unsure at times of how to pose or even what I wanted to portray during the shoot. This project helped me put some of my creative ambitions into words, and strengthened my resolve to carry them out. While not explicitly a result of the shoot, the photos correspond with my feelings of renewed control over my body and what it can do. I'm thankful for the opportunity."
